What does it feel like to be a dolphin? Is it possible to answer this question from the human condition?
Dolphinology accomplishes this attempt through a listening session created in collaboration between Vincenzo Grasso, a participant in Verso's second research group, and the ALMARE collective, which curated the sound production. Dolphinology takes the tone of guided meditation by mixing it with imaginative practice and leads the audience into the sound world of the dolphin, where the primacy of the senses is not entrusted to sight and the greatest threat is precisely noise pollution. An attempt to capture experiences of the world foreclosed to us through proximity and knowledge of other life forms and a listening session that takes the form of imaginative practice guided to the sound world of the dolphin.
