Prove di Reincantamento

Following Diluvio Festival’s invitation, we decided to elaborate a multimedia panel exploring enchanted paths leading to interspecies kinships and radical technologies.
We started by presenting “Invito al Reincantamento. Affrontare e superare il disincanto” (Marco Mattei, TLON, 2024) summoning alternative imaginations to the disenchanted present. Can we re-enchant reality and evolve new techno-ecological relations?
After this theoretical grounding, we explore two prove (attempts) of re-enchanment in the form of two multimedia pieces. We faced the the question of technological imagination by watching together “Harvesting The Net - A Tale of Digital Gardening”. How did the Internet become what it is right now? And how can we make it different? We conclude the day with “Dolphinology - What is like to be a dolphin”? the sonic performance by Vincenzo Grasso and ALMARE. What would it feel like to be a being radically other? Is it possible through imaginative practice to develop an empathic rationality? ༘˚⋆𐙚｡⋆𖦹.✧˚
